Does your student have a knack for solving problems (or would you like them to develop good problem-solving skills)? During our Young Engineers After-School Academy, students will learn how engineers use the engineering design process to solve everyday problems. Our curriculum was co-developed with a local engineer! Students will have the chance to build their own circuits, rig up an effective pulley system, as well as design new solutions to real-world problems.

The 2024-2025 After-School STEAM Academy meets Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3:00 to 6:00 pm, and Wednesday from 2:00 to 6:00 pm, when District 186 is in session. This program is recommended for students in grades 1-5.

A minimum enrollment is required to run each monthly session. Sessions with low enrollment prior to the start date may be subject to cancellation. Any registrations that are canceled due to low enrollment will be refunded in full.

Please note that eight-session packs do not carry from month to month and must be used before the end of the month. No partial refunds will be offered.
